Instructions for use

According to the instructions for use of Penetron Admix, it cannot be added to concrete in dry form. It is extremely important to achieve the most uniform consistency with the working solution, which cannot be achieved in this way. Therefore, the process of preparing a waterproofing mixture is as follows:

a kilogram of dry powder is mixed with 400 ml of water;
one part of the liquid component is mixed with two parts of powder (by volume);
water is always poured into powder, and not vice versa;
to obtain a waterproofing solution, mix it manually or using a low-speed drill for 2 minutes;
a signal that the additive is ready is when it acquires a creamy consistency;
prepare a portion of the solution at a time that can be used for 30 minutes;
When using Penetron Admix, it should be stirred constantly, which will preserve the properties of the solution for as long as possible.

Use on construction sites and in factories

In this case, the finished solution is poured into a concrete mixer, where it is mixed for another 10 minutes. Subsequently, using generally accepted technology, the mixture is poured in the right place. It is recommended to produce concrete with a workability that is one step lower than the required one.

If necessary, Penetron Admix is used with other necessary components. This does not impair the properties of concrete in any way. On average, the mixture consumption is 1% of the mass of cement used. If this cannot be calculated, it is recommended to use 4 kg of waterproofing powder per cubic meter of concrete.

Any contaminants are removed from the concrete surface. For this purpose, a high-pressure water jet unit is used. Manual cleaning using a brush with metal bristles is allowed.

Smooth surfaces are prepared for treatment with a weak acid solution, after which they are treated with a stream of water. Be sure to make U-shaped grooves with a cross-section of 25x25 mm at the location of seams, joints, and interfaces. Pressure leak cavities must be cleaned of loose concrete.

After applying waterproofing, the concrete surface is protected from sub-zero temperatures and mechanical influences for at least three days. The surface of the structure must remain wet at all times. To do this, it is constantly moistened with water and covered with plastic film, which prevents excessive evaporation of the liquid. The treated structure is allowed to be finished, which can be done after 28 days.
